Cargo drones

Move parts, tools and supplies where roads are slow, seasonal or missing. Cargo drones from 10 kg to 70 kg, with hooks, boxes and release mechanisms.

Cargo drones

Why cargo drones?

Some deliveries are hard: a spare part to a mountain telecom mast, medical supplies across a flooded valley, tools to the top of a wind turbine, or supplies to an island when the boat is not running. Cargo drones turn those jobs from hours or days into minutes, without risking people on the way.

Choosing a cargo drone

By load

By route

  • Short shuttles (a few hundred metres, repeated): THEA 190MP
  • Long routes (up to 10 km): D50, SY800
  • High altitude (rated to 5000 m): D50

By delivery method

  • Hook and suspended load. Lowered or released at the destination. Fast, and no landing needed.
  • Cargo box. Protected goods. The drone lands, is unloaded and returns.
  • Drop release. For items that can be dropped safely, such as supplies or flotation devices.
  • Winch. Lowering goods without landing, where configured.

Cargo drone use cases

  • Mountain logistics: huts, research stations, telecom repeaters, ski infrastructure
  • Island and coastal supply: urgent parts and medicines across water
  • Construction: materials to roofs, slopes and towers
  • Energy: parts and tools to turbines, substations and pylons
  • Mining: spares across large sites
  • Humanitarian: supplies after disasters cut roads

Planning cargo routes

  1. Survey the route. Terrain, obstacles, power lines, people, airspace.
  2. Calculate performance. Payload, distance, altitude, wind and temperature against the aircraft's realistic capability.
  3. Get approvals. Most cargo routes need a specific approval. BVLOS routes need extra justification.
  4. Plan landing and drop zones. Clear, controlled and marked.
  5. Plan contingencies. Alternative landing sites, a lost-link procedure, weather limits.
  6. Train the crew. Pilot, observers and loaders.

Frequently asked questions

How much can a cargo drone carry?

In our range, from about 10 kg (SY800) to 70 kg (THEA 200MP).

How far can a cargo drone fly?

The D50 and SY800 are rated for 10 km. Legal distance depends on your approvals. Most countries require visual line of sight without a specific approval.

Can a cargo drone deliver without landing?

Yes, using a hook, winch or drop release, depending on configuration and what is being delivered.

Are cargo drones legal?

They are legal where operated within the regulations, which for heavy cargo usually means specific approvals.
