ODM manufacturing

When branding is not enough. We modify or develop a design to your brief, prove it with samples and build it to order.

What ODM means at Averix Karts

ODM (original design manufacturer) manufacturing goes further than OEM. Instead of putting your brand on our existing product, we change the product itself, or develop a new variant, to meet your requirements. You get a vehicle or drone that is distinctively yours, built on our production capability.

What we can develop

Go karts

  • Styling changes: front and rear treatments, lighting, spoilers and wings, wheels
  • Interior: seating layout, trim materials, dashboard and steering wheel
  • Powertrain integration: different motor, battery or engine packages to meet your performance or market requirements
  • Features: lighting packages, speed-limiting modes for rental or youth use, fleet-management hardware
  • Market adaptation: changes needed to meet the documentation and safety expectations of your market

Payload drones

  • Payload integration: mounting and powering your sensor, sprayer, release mechanism or specialist equipment
  • Module packages: custom combinations of loudspeakers, lights, throwers and cameras
  • Configuration: battery architecture, landing gear and transport cases
  • Branding and documentation as with OEM

The ODM process

  1. Brief and feasibility. You share your requirements, drawings or references. We assess feasibility, cost and timeline.
  2. Agreement. Scope, development costs, tooling ownership, MOQ and timeline are agreed in writing, with an NDA if needed.
  3. Design. We develop the design changes and share drawings or renders for approval.
  4. Prototype and samples. Physical samples are produced for testing and approval. Iterations happen here.
  5. Pre-production. A small run confirms production quality before full volume.
  6. Production and QC. Full production with inspection and photo records.
  7. Shipping and support. Export, documentation, spares and technical support.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns the design in an ODM project?

Ownership of new designs and tooling is agreed in writing at the start. Terms vary by project and contribution.

How long does an ODM project take?

It depends on the scope. Minor styling changes are much faster than powertrain integration. We give a timeline at the feasibility stage.

Do I need to provide drawings?

Not necessarily. A clear brief with references is enough to start, and we can develop drawings for your approval.

What is the MOQ for ODM?

It is higher than for OEM because development costs are spread over the order. We confirm it at the feasibility stage.

Can you integrate my own payload on a drone?

Yes. Payload integration is one of our most common drone ODM projects.
